Fragstats 6 is available now
Fragstats 6 is a new release that brings visualization to Fragstats. The new features allow a visual interactive review of the results seamlessly linking an input grid's view to the metric table content.
Just click on a patch in the grid view to see the class or patch level metric results for that patch.
In you want to generate a surface metric, simply right-click on the metric name in the right panel of the visualization frame and export the surface metric. Currently it only works if the input dataset is in GeoTiff format. Surface metric generation is available in the professional and organization license levels.
Fragstats 5 going in maintenance mode
There will be no more releases in the Fragstats 5 branch. The Fragstats 5 setup file will continue to be available for download until all the current Fragtstats 5 licenses expire. At that point it too will be retired.

Our academic program is coming to an end. This means that we will not issue any more free academic licenses.

Institutional customers that need to purchase a large number of licenses may contact us for a quote.
Current Fragstats 5 academic licenses will remain valid until their expiration date. They are not valid for Fragstats 6 installations.
